Here Goes Nothing!

I am a full time employee and a mother of a redheaded cutie pie-toddler named Willow. Other than working and taking care of her and the house, I do not have alot of time on my hands.
I could slowly see (and feel) my pants getting tighter after all the holiday festivities and I did NOT like it. I love food. All of it. I have always liked more foods on the "healthy" side but thats not saying I don't like donuts or ice-cream or anything that involve dark chocolate. So don't assume anything. Also, I live in the Boonies, and there is limited entertainment out here.
I needed to get moving and I needed a way to have "me" time outside of when I was driving to and from work. A hobby wouldn't hurt either.
Enter: Running.
I have only been doing it for a few months, and at first I could barely run/walk a mile but I loved it immediately. I have my first 5k on March 23rd and another one on my birthday, April 20th.
It is not a quick fix for losing weight, but its my fix for needing a hobby, me time and exercise all in one.
I'm doing a blog to keep track of it from (almost) the begining, and everything that comes along with it.
